Description of Career Options after each BA pathway
The offered courses enable students to work in the broader Hospitality and Tourism Sector. The pathways do not exclude areas of employment but certainly provide a competitive advantage in the chosen area of expertise.
International Hotel Management
After the completion of this course students are expected to work primarily in the International Hotel industry as supervisory middle or senior managers. Depending on the nature and the needs of the property this would include Front Office positions, F&B management, Sales Management, Hospitality consulting etc.
International Tourism Management
After the completion of this course students are expected to work in the broader hospitality sector either as managers or as planners for businesses or local authority advisors.
International Hotel and Tourism Management
This pathway would suit students who wish to remain in the hotel management industry but at the same time wish to engage in consulting and planning.
International Hotel and Events Management
After the completion of this pathway students are expected to work in the Hotel and Events industry. That would include hotel management, event management within the context of hotels or event management in the wider private and public sector.
International Tourism and Events Management
After the completion of this course students are expected to work in the broader hospitality sector either as managers or as planners for businesses or local authority advisors or as event organisers for destinations or companies.
European Culinary Management
This specific pathway is intended for students with relevant education or experience within the culinary field to further develop their management skills.
Restaurant Management
This pathway is best suited to students who own or intend to own or develop a food and beverage facility.
Hospitality Entrepreneurship
This pathway is for those interested in developing hospitality related businesses in an international context. |
